The Battle on the Border: High School Football Showcase

The Battle on the Border-High School Football Showcase will be the second high school football showcase ever to be played in Independence Stadium (2011’s inauguaral The Battle on the Border was the first). This historic sporting event will highlight some of the top high school football programs in the southern region and country. The showcase will take place at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, LA (home of the AdvoCare V-100 Independence Bowl) on Saturday, September 8^th, 2012. The quality of powerhouse high school football teams selected and their respective fan base will surely take high school football in this region to new heights. The City of Shreveport envisions the Battle on the Border-High School Football Showcase to become a model in bringing wholesome athletic events to Independence Stadium and this region.
